Our country has witnessed events over the past two weeks that have brought the systemic racism that still exists in our society to the forefront. Like so many of you, I have been deeply disturbed by these events and continue to process the emotions that accompany unacceptable loss of life and the realization that in 2020 we are still challenged by discrimination, inequality and racism in America.
I think it’s important that you understand the position of our company. Simply put, there is no room in our country, or our company, for racism, discrimination or mistreatment in any form. We stand beside our employees in demanding justice and equality for the Black community.
I want you to know that I will work to ensure that diversity is a centerpiece of our organization. We will prioritize compassionate conversations among our Diversity Leadership Committee Advisory Groups, strengthen our diversity training, provide supportive resources and welcome ideas on driving positive changes. We also want you to know what resources are available to you when working with us.
