The lifestyle website, Vylectese.cz, shared this easy recipe for Rooibos kombucha recently.
Kombucha is made from tea, sugar and a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeasts (SCOBY). This culture is added to the tea in which one dissolved the sugar.
Bacteria and yeast grow and feed on sugar during the fermentation process. The result is a fermented tea full of probiotics and a host of health benefits.

Creating exciting Vegan drinks and meals is an excellent pastime for many foodies. We recently found this recipe for a Vegan Triple Berry Vanilla Rooibos Tea and it is absolutely delicious. We simply had to share it with you to try at home!
Ingredients:
- 6 1/2 cups of filtered water
- 1/2 cup of Bilberries
- 1/2 cup of Elderberries
- 1/4 cup of Schisandra Berries
- 1/2 cup of Hibiscus Flower Power
- 1/3 cup of Red Rooibos Tea
- pinch of Vanilla Bean Powder
- 1 teaspoon of stevia OR 1-3 tablespoons of honey
Method:
- In a big mason jar, fill up the bottom of the jars with the dry herbs.
- Add in boiling water.
- Steep for 10-30 minutes.
- Steep for 30 to get the full immune-boosting benefits of the elderberries.
- Strain out the herbs.
- Add in your sweetener.
Enjoy right away or add ice if you want an iced version.

As a herbal tea, Rooibos may fight inflammation and help your immune system, which in turn could alleviate some allergy symptoms. Seasonal allergies — aka allergic rhinitis or hay fever — usually pop up in the spring, summer, and early fall. Basically, allergies are part of your body’s immune response to pollen, grass, or other common environmental allergens.
The article cites the high content of antioxidants, including aspalathin and quercetin, in Rooibos as one of the leading reasons why those suffering from allergies should give it a try.

Looking for a refreshing beverage you can enjoy at home after a long day? Oh Hey Cindy shared a video of a recipe they created for a marvelous virgin Rooibos cocktail! It calls for very few, everyday ingredients.
Ingredients:
- Rooibos Teabags x6
- Hot Water
- Mint
- Agave Syrup
- Pomegranate Seeds
- Edible Flowers (Optional)
Method:
- Add rooibos teabags to a measuring jug and add 500ml water.
- Add fresh mint to hot tea.
- Allow the tea to steep with mint. The longer you steep, the stronger the flavour will be.
- Strain the tea and decant into a bottle and store in the fridge.
- Once the tea is cooled, you can assemble your cocktail.
- Add ice, fresh mint and pomegranate seeds to your cocktail glass.
- Pour ice tea and garnish with edible flowers.
