Sunday Morning Summer Fun
We know during the summer our families are in and out as everyone enjoys their summer break. Beginning June 7, our PHUMC kids, prek-3 through rising 5th, will all meet together in the Garden Room at 9:30 for a time of faith development and fun during our summer months. During the month of June, PHUMC kids will learn about some of the Bible's MVPs named in the Book of Hebrews. In July, they will discover ways to use their own voice to share about Jesus as they look at characters found in the Book of Acts. We’ve got some fun themes for each Sunday to go alongside these stories, so check out our game plan and come learn and grow this summer with your PHUMC friends.
June 7: Make your own Sundae Sunday
June 14: Trivia Sunday
June 21: Worship Prep during Sunday School. Meet in the Worship Center at 9:30.
June 28: Doughnut Sunday
July 5: Brunch Worship at 10:00 am. Bring a dish to share. No Sunday School.
July 12: Art Sunday
July 19: P.J. Sunday
July 26: Doughnut Sunday

Summer Session Bible Study
This summer we will offer a 3-week mini session of our Thursday morning Bible study. Join us Thursday, June 11, 18, and 25 at 10:00 am in the Garden Room for a deep dive into one of the shortest books of the Bible, Philemon. Hope to see you there!

Please join us Saturday, June 13 from 8:30 to noon for a church work day. This day will include VBS decorating and some much needed building and grounds work.  Come for the entire time or for whatever time you can spare, but we need your help so that we can check things off our list! Items include inside cleaning and organizing and some possible pressure washing of outside areas and yard work. Sign up here so we know how many to expect. We do best the things we do together!
After School Director – B.A.S.E. Camp Program Organization: MadCAAP (Madison Countians Allied Against Poverty)
Location: Canton, MS
Position Type: Part-Time (30 hours/week) | Immediate Opening
Contact: Lesley Dill at 601-407-1404

Join our dedicated nonprofit team as the Director of our Bodily, Academically, Spiritually, and Emotionally Fit (B.A.S.E.) Camp. We serve approximately 20–24 elementary students (K-5) in a supportive environment focused on holistic mentorship, community service, and academic encouragement.

We are seeking a highly organized, dependable team player who can manage schedules, forms, and multiple responsibilities with precision. This role requires a heart to serve those from diverse and often difficult backgrounds with empathy and respect. The ideal candidate builds positive, respectful relationships with children, families, volunteers, and staff alike.

Affordability is being thrown around in all the talking points, and we know affordable housing is a constant source of discussion. There is a way for us to do more than talk and worry. Habitat for Humanity has been around for 50 years aiding in providing affordable housing for those who might never have been able to own a home. Parkway Hills has worked alongside Habitat for Humanity through providing funds and most importantly, signing up to help with the builds. Our next work day is Saturday, June 27 from 12:45 to 4:00. We need 12 individuals to cover our slot. You must be at least 16 to participate. Click here to sign up today!
For our summer months we will move to a one-room gathering in the Garden Room at 9:30 for our Children's Sunday School ages preK-3 through rising 5th grade beginning June 7. See above for the plans for each Sunday.

Our May Communion Offering will support the 2026 Faith Build with Habitat for Humanity Mississippi Capital Area. The plan is to rehab a home on Stonewall Street. This home was the 500th house built in honor of Elise Winter. The initial homeowner has moved into an assisted living facility and it is now time to redo the house and prepare for a new homeowner so that we don't have another home sitting idle when there are so many families that need a safe, decent, affordable home. In addition to our offering, Parkway Hills' work day is Saturday, June 27, 12:45 to 4:00 pm. Click here to sign up to aid with the build.
