Alpha - Ask the Hard Questions

For the past several years Valor has partnered with a global ministry called Alpha to host weekly dinner meetings for all who are seeking to learn more about Christianity. The group is open to all Valor parents; come for one session or all of them for food and rich discussion.

A Wonderful Cookie Exchange

Thanks to your generous donations of time and cookies, the VPA blessed our staff and faculty with another incredible annual Christmas cookie exchange on Friday. Check out some photos from the day on Facebook!

Update to Finals Week Dining

For the first time at Valor, food service will be provided to students during finals week. Lunch will be served every day in the Commons from 11:00 - 1:00, and complimentary snacks are provided in the Bistro, Cafe and Commons from 9:50 - 10:30 am on December 17, 18, and 19. You can read all the details in the modified schedules document

Opportunity to Join Discovery Teams

The Houston and San Diego spring break teams are still accepting applications from all students, and just 4 Discovery service hours are required to apply. Grow your faith and impact a diverse community on these fun and meaningful trips. Apply online by December 12!

Junior Parents:

Save the date for the annual Junior Family College Night on January 22 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm. This night kicks off the official college application season and will provide much needed information regarding the next 12 months for your student. It is expected that all juniors and at least one parent or guardian attend.

Senior Parents:

Make sure to check your inbox for an email titled "Important Senior Reminders" that was sent on Monday, December 3 and addresses items related to college applications, sending mid-year transcripts and more.

Also Note ...

  • All Valor library materials were due on Friday, December 7. Please contact a librarian with requests to check out materials over the break.
  • If your student is enrolled in AP courses, review the AP information document.

Valor Teacher Named Special Olympics Colorado Coach of the Month

Congratulations to Valor math teacher Riley Scott on being named the November Coach of the Month for the Special Olympics Colorado!
After coaching the unified basketball and volleyball teams for six years, Mr. Scott says of his experience, "Working with our athletes brings me great joy and encouragement. The effort they put forth and the excitement they have is encouraging and motivating. Our practices are about having a good time and laughing. Exercising is the result!"
