CABINET LETTER FROM LEO LOPOZ '94

Hello Spartan Nation!
It is my pleasure to have the opportunity to update you on Spartan athletics, as well as highlight some of the many accomplishments of our student-athletes this past school year. The dedication, determination, and effort that our student-athletes put forth on and off the field will never be forgotten.
At De La Salle, we have been blessed with an athletic tradition and history like no other. We often take for granted that our expectations and achievements are not typical for high school sports. However, that does not mean that our path to success isn’t challenging. There is no guarantee that a team will be able to set goals, execute a plan, and commit to each other in a way that delivers both team and individual success.

Now is the chance for students of all ages to experience the magic of De La Salle through our Summer Camp Program. The majority of our sports camps are for boys and girls in 3rd-9th grade. However, we also offer camps for high school players and advanced athletes, as well as an All-Sports Camp specifically designed for children K-3. Each camp focuses on skill development, having fun, and being competitive and is run by current De La Salle coaching staff and former De La Salle players. For children who are theatrically inclined, we offer a fabulous Youth Performance Training Camp, as well as an Improv Camp.
Visit the De La Salle Camps and Clinics webpage for information about all camps and to register your son/daughter for an exciting summer camp opportunity.

As the winds of Pentecost howled through the Upper Room and filled Jesus’ disciples with the Holy Spirit, the month of May was also a month to celebrate the Holy Spirit moving through our students. As the quote to the right attests, God’s glory is made manifest when we are living our lives “fully alive.” In May, as we closed out the academic year, we celebrated all the ways we saw our students be “fully alive.” And we believe that by our students living out their lives to the fullest, they truly brought great glory to God!
