Trash Service Delayed One Day This Week

Trash/recycling services are delayed one day this week due to Monday's road conditions.

Public Meeting for WestConnect Planning for C-470

The Colorado Department of Transportation and the WestConnect Coalition of agencies are evaluating options to reduce congestion, improve operational performance and safety, and address future transportation needs along C-470, between Kipling Street and Interstate 70, and along the US 6/CO 93 corridor between Golden and Boulder. There will be a public meeting at the Ranch House to discuss the draft recommendations:

Proposed Car Dealerships South of C-470 Near Kipling

Jefferson County has scheduled a Community Meeting to discuss a land use proposal for rezoning and platting to allow for the construction of two indoor auto dealerships south of C-470 and west of Kipling. The proposed area is in the Jefferson Corporate Center (see map above). Information related to this case can be found on the Planning & Zoning website. Meeting details:

Proposed Changes to Letters to the Editor Policy

The Master Association Board will vote on the following proposed changes to the Life at Ken-Caryl Letters to the Editor Policy at the Board’s Feb. 20 meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Ranch House. If you have comments or questions about the policy, you can direct them to the editor, Victoria DeSair, at victoriad@kcranch.org or to the Master Association Board. Highlighted changes include:

  • Addition of political candidates to list of people allowed to submit letters.
  • Subdivisions no longer printed with resident names.
  • More than one letter per resident may be published in a single issue of the paper provided that the letters are not about the same subject.
  • Letters will be published with plain text; use of all caps, italics, bold or excessive exclamation points will not be allowed.

Open Space Committee Looking for New Name for Willow Springs Connector Trail 

Volunteers completed construction of the Willow Springs Connector Trail on the northern edge of the Foothills Open Space. The trail consists of two distinct segments: the north segment runs from Bradford Trail to the northern boundary of Ken-Caryl Ranch Open Space and the southern segment runs from Manor House Trail to Bradford Trail. The Open Space Committee would like your help in naming the two trail segments. See the article linked below for details.

Master Association Board Applications Due Jan. 26

Two Master Association Board seats will be on the ballot for the Board election in March, and applications are due Jan. 26 by 5 p.m. for those individuals who are interested in running. See details and download an application at the link below.

Holiday Lights Reminder

The time is almost here to corral those reindeer and pack up the lights. Feb. 1 is the due date to have your outdoor holiday decorations put away.
