NeighborWorks receives Pennsylvania's newest Elm Street designation for West Scranton
Together with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Mayor of Scranton Paige Cognetti, Pennsylvania Downtown Center and Senator Marty Flynn, we recently celebrated West Scranton receiving Pennsylvania’s newest Keystone Communities Program Elm Street designation. This will open the door for additional state funding to revitalize areas of West Scranton.

As a DCED-designated Elm Street, we will now receive priority consideration under several programs for various funding applications submitted to the DCED for the next five years. We are looking forward to using these future funds together with our partners to reinvest into the priorities outlined in our West Scranton Neighborhood Plan.
For more information about the Elm Street designation and what this means for West Scranton, you can read the official DCED press release here.
