AAAS Science & Human Rights Coalition Student Essay Competition- Deadline:
April 30! This essay competition was created to inspire students to explore connections between human rights and science, engineering and the health professions. Students may write on any topic at the intersection of science and/or technology with human rights. Winners of the competition will receive a year of membership in AAAS and a one-year subscription to Science, as well as a travel stipend to attend the Coalition’s meeting. The winning essays will be considered for publication in Professional Ethics Report, a quarterly publication of the AAAS Scientific Responsibility, Human Rights and Law Program.
Alliance for Women in Media Foundation Scholarships- Deadline:
May 1! Recognizing and supporting future generations of women in media is as important as recognizing current achievements. The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation gives students starting their careers nearly $20,000 in scholarships annually. This scholarship opportunity is open to any female undergraduate or graduate student attending an accredited college or university in the United States in the fall of 2018. Those pursuing a media career in an area such as cable, television, radio, digital media, publishing, journalism, advertising, production, creative design, or others are especially encouraged to apply
College of Business Administration
Orbis Investment Management Fellowship- Deadline: May 24. This award is to be used toward tuition and/or course-related expenses by a student who is passionate about investment management. There are no demographic criteria or previous work experience requirements. However, the conventional need NOT apply. The 2018 Fellow will receive a $15,000 cash award attributable toward tuition or course-related expenses.

Gallagher Student Health Careers Scholarship Program- Deadline: May 7. Open to sophomores and juniors, the $7,500 scholarship supports students with the financial assistance they need to pursue their health-related careers. Each scholarship recipient both demonstrates and exceeds the program standards, which include: a strong motivation to pursue a healthcare career, academic excellence, a dedication to community service, and a need for financial support of their education. Open to U.S. citizens and international students.
