Northeast
On Sunday (July 1), Northeast Indiana Public Radio's WBOI (89.1fm, Fort Wayne) ended their broadcasts of the BBC World Service, which aired weekdays at 3pm and in overnights.
For the 3pm weekday hour, WBOI now airs PRI's "The World" while overnight consists of various encore programs: 1A, Fresh Air, Hidden Brain, On Point, et al. Here's the WBOI complete weekday schedule.
Northwest
Milner Broadcasting Enterprises closes on the sale of their five radio stations, including Country/WIVR (101.7fm, Kentland) to Milner Media Partners. Here's how it all breaks down. The new Milner Media Partners consists of:
David Benjamin: 33%
Mickey Luckoff: 32%
Robby Markose (R2 Investments): 33%
Milner: 2%

Central
Emmis' Sports/WFNI (1070am, Indianapolis) broadcast in HD, but they've stopped that for a bit due to some equipment issues.
Dispatch Broadcasting's NBC affiliate/WTHR-TV (Channel 13) sports anchor Jason Spells exits after nearly a decade in Indianapolis. Mr. Spells debuted across town in Indianapolis at ABC affiliate WRTV-TV (Channel 6, Indianapolis), and moved to WTHR-TV in 2014. Mr. Spells said he's moving to Dallas, Texas, but hasn't announced his career plans.
Where Are They Now? Former "Retro 93.9" morning man Jeffrey T. Mason now hosts Jeffrey T. Mason now does weekends at WEBG ("Big 95.5") in Chicago.
Southeast
New Beginnings Movement, Inc. closes on their $35,000 sale of translator W249DG (97.7fm, North Vernon) to Tom and Diana Taylor. In May 2016, W249DG began a simulcast of Classic Hits WJCP-A/North Vernon.
Southcentral
Indiana University's News-Classical-Jazz/WFIU (103.7fm, Bloomington) and its five translator network add two new shows this month:
"PorchLight" with Tom Roznowski will have a new theme each week, and the show will incorporate recorded music and stories around that theme. The hour long show debuts this Saturday (July 7) at 8:00pm. Mr. Roznowski previously hosted "Hometown" on WFIU.
Starting Wednesday July 18, Shayne Laughter will host "Reader's Radar" on both WFIU and as a podcast. The half hour show will delve into short prose fiction from current issues of literary journals. Ms. Laughter also serves as an arts reporter for WFIU, and previously worked for Bloomington Community Radio's Variety/WFHB (91.3fm, Bloomington).
