Self Care Corner
This month I hope you are able to find moments of calm for contemplation and gratitude. In fact, this month's focus is going to be gratitude. For our purposes, we define gratitude as "a feeling of thankfulness and appreciation." Your task is to, once a day, take a moment to reflect on something you are grateful for. This can be at any random time and is just for you! The goal is not to highlight something you feel you should be grateful for but what you are actually grateful for.
Some common examples are: someone making you laugh, quality time with loved ones, a good cup of coffee, a warm blanket, catching up with a friend...etc. The list could go on and on!
During that moment of gratitude, use your mindfulness skills to notice exactly what is coming up mentally, physically, and emotionally. You can write down your grateful moment or just sit with it for a few breaths.
