Calling All Dads to the Front Seat

BY TIM WELCH, DEAN OF STUDENTS & VALOR DAD
Valor is a place where dads are encouraged to take the role of fatherhood seriously, as we partner with both parents in educating their son or daughter. But let’s talk about an aspect of fatherhood that the rest of the culture leaves out: the spiritual leadership and mentorship of our students – your children.

Taste of Discovery Is Tonight!

If you bought tickets, we can't wait to see you at the Builder's Appliance Center in Englewood at 6:00 pm.
If not, you can still participate in the live auction online! Keep an eye on the items you bid on, you don't even have to be present to win.
Discovery thanks the Valor community in advance for your overwhelming support of this event and program.

Special Speaker at Moms and Dads Bible Studies

This Thursday, January 31, guest speaker Steven Musick will address both Moms and Dads Bible studies. Dads meet at 6:30 am and Moms at 8:10 am in the Valor Center Upper Lobby.

Also Note ...

  • Sign up for the next Valor Moms Hike on February 11.
  • All parents are welcome to attend Alpha, a discussion group about life and faith that meets on Tuesday nights from 5:45-7:15 pm. Contact Teresa Kozan with questions.
  • Save the date for Grandparents Day on Thursday, March 7. More details to come.

Better Than the Super Wolf Blood Moon!

For those of you who were disappointed in your view of last week's lunar eclipse, check out this photo taken by Valor's Astronomy Club, through our high-powered telescope and an iPhone. Swing by STEM Coordinator Rick Russon's office to learn more about this telescope and maybe even take a look at the moon yourself.
