Father Jenkins receives honorary degree

Notre Dame President Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., received an honorary doctor of laws degree Tuesday, May 9, from the University of Notre Dame Australia, a Catholic institution of higher learning modeled on and founded with the assistance of its American namesake.

An education in service to others: Researching the potential of trauma-informed care

Nancy Michael, the Rev. John A. Zahm, C.S.C., Associate Teaching Professor and director of undergraduate studies in neuroscience and behavior, leads her students in working with area organizations such as the Robinson Community Learning Center to apply the principles of neuroscience in programs that can impact children and adults at different stages of development.

Foundry Field celebrates the past

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Friday, May 12, for Foundry Field, a proposed public-access baseball field designed to celebrate the Foundry Giants and other underrepresented baseball teams from South Bend’s past. Learn more about this collaborative community project here
Sustainable digital storage

OIT 

A change is coming to digital storage

On Tuesday, May 23, Notre Dame will allocate storage to each Google account based on its current usage. After May 23, if individuals near their storage limit, they will receive an alert from Google and may request additional storage. Read more about digital storage solutions here.

Jay Caponigro, senior director of community engagement

Jay Caponigro, senior director of community engagement, died Thursday, May 11, after a year-long illness. He was 54.
