Dear Parents,
RE: How to get kiddos off to school on time without yelling, whining or constantly reminding!
Typically, in these eView articles, I share thoughts and ideas to help you be intentional with your parenting. I accept that some will be more helpful than others (depending on your circumstances). As we re-learn 'normal,' it is hoped that these will benefit your family.
One of my most enjoyable moments in the day is greeting your children as they arrive ready for school. As a parent of three children, I know that the experience of getting them ready for school can be vastly different. Being punctual is a very important life skill and one that has a practical benefit in an educational setting. A teacher having to recap concepts already covered for the punctual students for tardy students has a communal impact on learning. Role modelling common courtesy and respect for the teacher are lead for your children to learn important life lessons. The following thoughts have been adapted from research by parenting expert Michael Grose.
