Job separation EPAFs and checklist |
The Radford University Department of Human Resources reminds supervisors that they are required to complete certain processes in a timely and effective manner prior to an employee’s separation date in order to ease the transition and safeguard the university.
Depending on the type of employee, a personnel action may be required to complete the separation. For all full-time employee and 1500-hour wage employee separations, supervisors must complete a separation EPAF as soon as possible after notice of the employee’s separation is received and no later than the separation date. More information on employee separations is available via Human Resources’ EPAF Frequently Asked Questions.
The completion and certification of a separation checklist are required for all employee separations to ensure all final processes are completed by the employee for payroll purposes, to collect university-owned property and to ensure that system access is updated. Supervisors must complete a separation checklist prior to the employee’s departure. Please see the separation checklist for student employees and all other employees in addition to employee separation procedures.

Launch of new performance management system for classified employees |
Radford University’s Office of Human Resources is launching performance reviews for classified employees in the new PageUp performance management system. Full-time classified employees and their supervisors should have received an e-mail that performance reviews were launched last Friday, Jan. 17. The message would have been from the hr@radford.edu e-mail address.
To access the new system, either select the link in the system-generated e-mail you received or sign into your One Campus account, searching for “Performance” and selecting the “Employee Performance Dashboard” tile.
AP Faculty performance review launches are being delayed until a decision is made on the performance cycle dates.

Radford University Internship & Co-op Education Agreement Form going digital |
The Center for Career and Talent Development is taking a significant step toward streamlining its internship and cooperative education processes. Starting this spring, Radford University will begin its transition from using the paper-based, PDF-based Radford University Internship and Cooperative Education Agreement (RUICEA) form to the Experiences module powered by Handshake.
Currently, when enrolling in an internship for credit, students fill out the PDF version of the RUICEA to get their internship approved. The Experiences module is an online form-workflow hosted on Handshake that will replace this PDF version. The initial transition will conclude in fall 2025. When registering for summer and fall 2025 internships or co-ops, students can submit either the electronic PDF-based RUICEA or the Experiences module, but when registering for spring 2026 internships or co-ops, only the Experiences module will be accepted.
This change is designed to make submitting and approving internship and co-op agreements more efficient and user-friendly. Please let your students know about this upcoming change.
The following training sessions have been scheduled for faculty and staff to better understand the Experiences module. All sessions will be held in the Career Lab, Russell Hall, third floor. Registration can be completed online via the link below.
