I hope you’re keeping cool during this hot Texas summer. I am pleased to share updates from The University of Texas at Arlington as we prepare for our students to return for the fall semester next month. Our new vice president of student affairs, Lowell Davis, joined us this month, and he and his team are hard at work welcoming incoming students and preparing for a great semester.
We expect to welcome a large first-year class as more and more students choose UTA after learning about the excellence we offer. And for those students with financial need, they are benefiting from our Blaze Forward program, which provides financial support to students who come from households of $85,000 or less.
Our faculty and staff are beating the summer heat by diligently working on groundbreaking research initiatives, from examining factors to enable entrepreneurial growth in small towns to studying coral response to disease. I invite you to read about some of the work happening at UTA below.
Thank you for your continued support, which enables us to foster academic excellence, drive innovation, and empower our students to thrive.
