Many organizations have pivoted away from in-person volunteering, but that does not make the virtual opportunities any less valuable to your development as a prehealth student! Below is an organization that has openings and can help you develop several competencies!  SOMERVILLE-CAMBRIDGE ELDER SERVICES Since 1972, Somerville-Cambridge Elder Services (SCES) has been the area’s aging information and service center. SCES helps older people and people living with disabilities remain safe and independent in their own homes by providing a wide range of supportive services, as well as information and advice. There are several volunteer opportunities available - both in-person and virtual! JOB & RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES Patient Experience Analyst Memora Health San Francisco, CA Full-time Position Memora Health is revolutionizing the patient experience outside of the care setting. They offer an end-to-end platform that unifies fragmented health care data to enable providers and payers automate patient communication. They are growing our team and are excited to bring on an individual who is responsible for designing their patient experience, with expertise in healthcare.  In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing an engaging patient experience based on customer input. Research Assistant Brigham and Women's Hospital Division of Rheumatology, Inflammation & Immunity Boston, MA This position provides an opportunity to engage in a dynamic clinical research setting and is ideal for candidates interested in pursuing careers in medicine, clinical research, or public health. The research assistant will have the opportunity to be co-author on publications for projects that s/he contributed to.   The research assistant will work on several clinical studies together with Principal Investigator, Sara Tedeschi, MD, MPH. The research assistant will coordinate and carry out study-related activities such as patient recruitment, in-person study visits, and data collection/organization for several assigned studies.  S/he will need to be able to work under close supervision both on-site and remotely.     They are looking for at least a 12-month commitment starting in April/May 2021 for this full-time position. In light of the ongoing COVID pandemic, we anticipate that the research assistant will primarily work remotely through at least Summer 2021 and possibly longer as determined by Brigham and Women’s Hospital policy for research.
