ALL ABOARD!
We are picking up steam at the Village Center with the return of the New River Valley Modular Railroad Club’s train exhibit. Every set in the exhibit is designed to scale and models the Norfolk & Western transition period of the 1950s and 1960s. The meticulous detail of the scenery is modeled on the hills, valleys and industry of Southwest Virginia. Visitors, both young and old, are welcome to run the trains around the track and be the conductor for the day!

SILVER SANTA SUCCESS
Local individuals and businesses showed their holiday spirit this season, purchasing gifts for residents through the Warm Hearth Foundation’s new Silver Santa program. Donors adopted residents in the Trolinger and New River House apartments at Warm Hearth Village to help make their holidays a little brighter. LewisGale Hospital Montgomery, pictured above, led the effort, adopting more than 30 residents. One Silver Santa gift recipient said she had been dealing with health issues and hadn’t been looking forward to the holidays at all until she was surprised with her gift. Thank you to LewisGale Hospital Montgomery and all the amazing individuals who gave to this special project! For more information about the Warm Hearth Foundation or how you can get involved, contact Amy Slone at (540) 443-3413.
