Fall Break is Coming!!
If you are planning to leave the US during Fall Break (October 7-October 11), make sure to get a travel signature! Degree seeking students can fill out the Travel request signature in the ISSS portal.

Spring 2023 Registration!
Registration for Spring 2023 begins on October 12. Make sure that you have submitted your "Lift IPC Hold" Request so that you are able to register on time.
Please note: for Spring 2023, Dept of State is going back to precovid regulations. This means for graduates, 9 credits is full time (6 must be face to face) and undergraduates, 12 credits is full time (9 must be face to face). Make sure you are working with your academic advisor to stay compliant for the spring semester, and meet with your DSO if you have questions.

This free event will feature Josie Borges & Mariachi Los Galleros, Alejandro Galve's traditional Aztec dancing, Ballet Folclorico Corazon de Mexico, as well as multiple food trucks & family-friendly activites, all leading up to Mariachi Cobre streamed live in the park!

Chancellor's Ambassador Program
The Chancellor’s Ambassador Program is a professional organization of student leaders who serve as representatives of UNC Greensboro on behalf of the Chancellor and First Lady at high level functions, showcasing what’s best about UNCG to our distinguished guests.
Selected through a formal nomination and application process, students will participate in a series of activities that will develop them professionally, such as: learn and practice networking skills, business etiquette, leadership, community engagement, and personal communication and presentation skills as they help communicate the mission and culture of the school.

In alignment with the transition of the Fall Career Fair to a virtual format, the event will focus on undergraduate students plus all enrolled graduate students. This format will allow for personalized interactions between job seekers and employers while still permitting high volume participation.
After registering for the fair, you can request 10-minute, 1:1 conversations with target employers. Once registered, you will have access to join virtual information sessions hosted by employers throughout the duration of the fair.

UNCG Chinese Speed Typing Contest!
September 29 7-8pm via Zoom
Chinese characters, one of the oldest characters in the world, have a history of more than 6,000 years.While we learn and appreciate them as an art of calligraphy, we also use them to achieve the purpose of rapid and effective communication in this digital era. How fast can you type Chinese characters?
ANY SPARTANS interested in Chinese typing (both traditional and simplified) are cordially invited to join us! The contest is divided into four levels: beginning, intermediate, advanced and superior level.
This event is part of the Mid-Autumn Festival celebration organized by the Chinese Studies Program, the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures.
Winners get certificates and prizes!

Jackson Library has re-opened its Family Study Room space for the first time since 2020! The room is meant to be used by any UNCG student, staff, or faculty member who is visiting the library accompanied by children. The room is free to use and has age-appropriate toys, books, games.
