Experiencing Financial Hardships Due to COVID-19?
The Richard H. Tyler Student Emergency Fund is intended to cover temporary costs that may hinder a student from succeeding academically or from meeting basic needs.
Traditionally students may only apply for assistance once per academic year but, due to the significant impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the federal government has provided additional funds for those demonstrating exceptional need and all students enrolled for Spring 2021 are eligible to apply at this time.

Celebrating the Class of 2021
The University of Arizona will celebrate the Class of 2021 with a series of in-person, graduate-only ceremonies between May 11 and May 18. We will continue to monitor health conditions; please remain flexible. Details will be available soon.
- Multiple Ceremonies: Hosted on campus Tuesday, May 11 - Tuesday, May 18.
- Students Only: All ceremonies will be streamed live and recorded.

The Arizona Cotton Research and Protection Council (ACRPC) is a state agency through which Arizona cotton growers provide funding for research and applied technology to address industry needs relating to pest control and crop production.
The role of the AF36 Marketing and Sales Associate is to establish retail distribution, accelerate the adoption rate and enhance sales of AF36 from the Arizona Cotton Research and Protection Council. Internships: Zoetis Summer 2021
Zoetis is looking for students for a Summer 2021 virtual internship program. There are opportunities in a variety of areas within the company and students from all CALS majors will find an internship of interest.
The Zoetis Summer Intern Program offers students in the U.S. the opportunity to gain real-world experience in our award-winning culture, grounded in our Core Beliefs. Our summer internships typically occur in the May-August timeframe and openings are posted in the fall of each year.

Internships: Summer 2021 U.S. Meat Animal Research
The U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC), located in Clay Center, Nebraska, will be sponsoring a limited 2021 Summer Research Internship Program for undergraduate students. This program is an opportunity to introduce students to various fields of research associated with meat animal production.

Internships: Summer 2021 Marine Conservation
Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF) is now accepting applications for our Summer 2021 Marine Conservation Internship. Interns support REEF’s educational programming and general operations from the REEF Campus in Key Largo, Florida.
Marine Conservation Interns gain leadership experience as they engage in activities focused on citizen science, community outreach, and education. They learn skills including partnership development, non-profit operations, donor relations, communication, marketing and promotions, data management, event planning, and public speaking.
Our Summer 2021 dates are May 24 through August 13. The deadline to apply is March 14. Applicants must have completed at least two years of undergraduate work.

Banner-UMC/ The A Center Pre-Health Professions Advising: Fall 2021 & Spring 2022 Application - Application is for two semesters.
Criteria for Choosing Applicants - Applications will be reviewed for the following demonstrated traits:
- 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher
- Must be a currently-enrolled undergraduate student at UArizona planning to be enrolled as a student in both fall 2021 and spring 2022 semesters. If accepted, must be prepared to register for the course associated with this internship. Cannot have participated in the internship previously.
- Many AAMC Core Competencies, including cultural competency, reliability and dependability, service orientation, and others. Read more about them here: AAMC Core Competencies.
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
- Interest in and experience with patient-centered care that show excellent customer service skills.

Student Job, Spring 2021: Special Events Parking Monitor
Parking & Transportation Services is currently seeking students to fill the role of Parking Event Monitor for our Special Events Department. As a Parking Event Monitor, you will assist with managing traffic/parking for COVID vaccination distribution, UA Presents, and athletic events, including football and basketball. It is expected that students could potentially work 250 event hours during the academic year.

Student Job, Summer 2021: CALS Student Orientation Leader
In the Fall 2021 semester, CALS anticipates welcoming more than 600 new students. In preparation for the first day of classes in August, all new students will complete a summer Orientation session with CALS and with the University of Arizona.
These Orientation sessions will begin in an online, virtual environment in May, June and July. Student Orientation Leaders (SOL) can expect to work the full 20 hours per week during the month of June.

Green Fund Open Forum: 3/12 @ 3pm
As of next fiscal year, the UArizona will consolidate sustainability programs and financial resources under the Office of Sustainability, dissolving the Green Fund in its current form. Moving forward, all funds would be allocated by the Office of Sustainability with direction provided by an advisory board.
We invite students, staff, faculty and alumni to join an Open Forum Zoom conversation on March 12, 2021 from 3-4:00 p.m. to discuss the changes and what they mean for campus sustainability moving forward.

UArizona PhD in Your Future? You Might Qualify for $12,000
The Richard A. Harvill Award provides outstanding first year graduate student support. The award targets University of Arizona senior undergraduates, domestic and international, who are applying for admission to a doctoral track program at the UA.
- Award amount for 2021-22: $12,000 cash scholarship plus full base graduate tuition
- Eligibility: UA seniors, domestic and international, who are completing their bachelor’s degree at the UA in May 2021 (no exceptions, please). UA Online, JD, MD admitted students are not eligible.
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher
- Admitted to a UA doctoral track program for Fall 2021
- Deadline to Apply: March 29, 2021

Ray Diversity Fellowship
The RAY Diversity Fellowship is a two-year (1 year with 1-year renewal), full-time position with partner conservation and clean energy organizations with the goal of increasing and facilitating environmentally-related career pathways for emerging leaders of color.
- Come from a racial / ethnic background underrepresented in conservation and clean energy, and demonstrate a commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Be less than one (1) year out of college and have a Bachelor's Degree by July 2021 (we are not considering individuals with graduate degrees at this time)
- Have not had a full-time job in conservation or clean energy
- Have the ability to work in the United States and commit to the entire fellowship

How Do You Share Your Data Story?
The University of Arizona Libraries is holding a data visualization challenge to highlight how UArizona undergraduate and graduate students use visual displays of data to tell stories.
All entries must be made through the official submission mechanism by April 2, 2021.
Undergraduate and graduate/professional student submissions will be judged separately, and there will be first ($250), second ($150), and third ($100) place awards for both categories. All awards will be announced on Monday, May 3.

Survey: Sleep Strategies
Researchers at the University of Arizona are currently evaluating a sleep schedule change to see if it can improve sleep. Eligible subjects should be between 18-60 years of age, generally healthy, and have a typical sleep schedule of ≤ 6 hours per night.
This study does NOT include sleep deprivation. Participants will be able to keep the Fitbit Charge 2 device and will be compensated with a Visa/Mastercard gift card, ranging from $25 to $200 at the conclusion of the study. To find out if you qualify, go to: https://sleephealthresearch.com/tracker
An Institutional Review Board responsible for human subjects research at The University of Arizona reviewed this research project and found it to be acceptable, according to applicable state and federal regulations and University policies designed to protect the rights and welfare of participants in research.
