Commencement is less than six weeks away, so that means the end of the semester is coming quickly. We wanted to share some dates of interest, events, and other news with you in this e-newsletter. Let us know what else you might want to see in each issue.

Tiger Tuesday brings together Sewanee alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents, families, and friends to rally support for important initiatives on the Mountain. Mark your calendars to join more than 3,000 other donors who will support the Sewanee experience that day. You can direct your gift to athletics, scholarships, organizations, and more! Be on the lookout for emails and social media posts so you can be a part of this exciting day.

If your student is participating in Commencement this May (so exciting!), you can get information on the weekend at the Commencement Central website.
You will be able to register for lunch tickets, see the weekend schedule, and order announcements. If you missed the Commencement 101 Zoom workshop, you can watch the replay here. We explain how the ceremony works and how many guests you can have, and we share the "don't miss" traditions. The main things to know?
1. Both Baccalaureate (no tickets required, but first-come, first-served) and Commencement services (Sat. and Sun.) are at 10 a.m.
2. Only students will be allowed inside All Saints' Chapel. All other guests will be able to watch a livestream of the service on first-class screens/audio on the Quad (or inside Guerry Auditorium).
3. Mark your calendars for the super fun campus-wide party Saturday from 7-9 p.m. with live music, food, beverages, and fireworks!
4. Come by the McGriff Alumni House (Commencement home base) for lunch tickets, complimentary senior class photo, weekend schedule, and to get your questions answered.

Career Readiness and Student Success News
|
|
|
|
Planning for Success — Students who have had challenging midterm grades or want help putting together a plan for academic success for the end of the semester and finals can make an appointment for Student Success Coaching.
Senior Job Search Support — Twice a week, Career Readiness + Student Success hosts an informal time for seniors to bring their laptop and work with a staff member to apply for jobs. They'll talk about job search strategies, how to stand out in online applications, utilizing networking, and apply for some jobs. Every Wednesday; no appointments are necessary.
Looking Ahead — Course registration for the Advent term begins on April 13. Students who are not graduating should schedule a meeting with their academic advisor to discuss their courses, graduation timeline, and plans for the summer. Academic advisors are an excellent resource, and students are encouraged to meet with them to check in throughout the semester.

Within six months of graduation, 95% of the Class of 2023 were employed, continuing education, in the military, or participating in a fellowship or service commitment (compared to the national average of 84%).

The Sewanee Parents' Council is a group of parents who invest financially and relationally so that the Sewanee family can grow and flourish. Parents' Council members gather on campus for two meetings per year and engage in other activities that support Sewanee students as well as our recruitment and philanthropy efforts. Freshmen and sophomores (without a sibling graduating) must move out of the dorms by noon. It may be that they are finished with exams before this date.

| Perimeter Trail Hike Weekend
|
Join us for a weekend of celebrating one of Sewanee's most valuable resources: the Domain. Lots of parents have participated over the years, joining our alumni for this event, which combines hiking, socializing, meals, and fun! It's a great excuse to visit the Mountain (and your student).
