Saxophonist, singer, and songwriter Grace Kelly will perform at MCLA’s Venable Theatre tonight at 7. Kelly has rocked the jazz world with sold-out concerts, 14 acclaimed albums, and a resume that includes performing at the Hollywood Bowl as part of the house band for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert—all before reaching her mid-20s! Elizabeth Winthrop Alsop, author of Daughter of Spies: Wartime Secrets, Family Lies, will hold a book talk on Saturday at the Clark Art Institute. The book is a memoir that traces the shape of her parents' marriage from a wildly romantic wartime courtship in England to a glamorous life in Cold War Washington, D.C. The free event will be held in the Clark’s auditorium, located in the Manton Research Center. More info

of Love

Ian Spencer Bell dances a reconstruction of Isadora Duncan’s 1912 solo, The Many Faces of Love, in Chesterwood's studio garden, where Duncan herself danced 125 years ago. The program opens with Bell’s new dance and poetry piece, Rosing. Read "Breath of Nature," searching for the spirit of Duncan in Stockbridge, in the May/June issue of Berkshire Magazine. Julia Scotti has been described as, among other things, “a force of nature” and “a comedy chainsaw flying through the room.” As Julia says, her comedy always has to be “fearless and honest.” She has been named one of the Top Five Transgender Comedians in the Country by Advocate Magazine, and has performed at LGBTQ events across the country.
