Preparing for a New Academic Journey
An academic advisor will begin working with you in early June, offering mentorship, support, and guidance throughout your four years at Notre Dame. This personalized and professional advising will introduce you to the values of a liberal arts education in the Catholic tradition, helping you integrate the formation of your mind and heart during your time here. Additionally, your advisor will help you explore requirements, register for courses, complete online modules required for all incoming students, confirm transfer or exam credit, and request placement exams.
Connecting You With Resources
Every week for the next few weeks, you can also expect to hear from our centralized academic advising office. Our primary source of communication will be the “Advising@ND” summer newsletter, which will be sent to your ND Gmail account.
You will also hear regularly from the Division of Student Affairs, your college or school, and various academic departments and offices eager to embrace you as the newest members of our community.
Anticipating Your Arrival On Campus
To anticipate your arrival on campus, you can expect to hear from the leaders of our first-year orientation program, Welcome Weekend, later this week. As your gateway into the life of a student at Notre Dame, Welcome Weekend seeks to share the unique characteristics of our undergraduate educational experience by introducing and inspiring engagement in academic and residential life at Notre Dame, demonstrating our commitment to a safe and inclusive environment of teaching and learning, and facilitating the exploration of University resources available to you and your family.
Welcome again to the University of Notre Dame! We are thrilled you are joining us, and I look forward to meeting you in person in the Fall.
In Notre Dame,
Fr. Dan
