Startup Waco has opened their second coworking location here at the BRIC. This expansion brings more opportunities for Waco's entrepreneurs, freelancers, and remote workers to connect and collaborate. Coworking provides a flexible and cost-effective alternative to traditional office space, enabling businesses of all sizes to concentrate on growth.

As data traffic continues to grow exponentially, the need for energy-efficient and scalable on-chip optical communication systems has become increasingly imperative. Baylor researcher, Dr. Alan Wang, has developed a MOSCAP-driven Si-MRM array heterogeneously integrated with high mobility titanium-doped indium oxide (ITiO). This new advancement exhibits a high electro-optic efficiency and has a high modulation rate.

Baylor engineers are participating in the prestigious NSF I-Corps National program. The participating team is composed of Electrical Engineering Professor, Dr. Jonathan Hu, and his students Zhihao Hu and Sterling Walzel. During the program, the team is learning entrepreneurial methods and completing customer discovery interviews to inform the design of their optical device simulation software, Photopica.
