With eight weeks of classes left in our spring semester, the number of positive cases and positivity test rate both continue to decline. This is due to the collective commitment of our community. Over the last week the 7-day moving average positivity test rate declined over 40%, the number of positive cases declined by over 60%, and the number of students in quarantine or isolation declined at similar rates.
If everyone continues to work hard and follow the proven best practices that mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we can continue driving these rates down and finish the semester as planned.
It requires us to remain vigilant and follow the essential policies that limit social gathering size to those you live with. We know social gatherings are how COVID-19 spreads and to keep everyone safe we will continue to have increased Public Safety in our student residents halls and townhouses. It is important that all members of the community keep up the good work of wearing masks, maintaining social distance, frequent handwashing, and avoiding unnecessary trips off campus. When we all work together we keep Bryant Strong.
