Dr. Jaquetta Reeves was a guest speaker at the ladies conference for women's history month for the Texas Black Women’s Health Initiative in Houston, TX. Presented by the Chris Howell Foundation

For Olexandra Shevchenko, a registered nurse on the cardiovascular floor at Houston Methodist Hospital and a student in The University of Texas at Arlington’s Family Nurse Practitioner program, her job and her studies usually came first.
But in February 2022, her focus turned elsewhere: her home nation of Ukraine, which had been invaded by the Russian military.

A very special "Thank You" to Linda Dipert, Blake Kretz, Matt Dufrene, Ricky Cotto and all the great folks at Texas Health Resources Arlington Memorial for including UTA BS Public UTA Public Health senior students at the recent THR Health Exchange Luncheon hosted at Arlington Memorial. The students had a great opportunity to connect with community partners and practice their networking skills! We appreciate THR and the great work you are doing to support the communities of North Texas!
Attended: 20 students from Dr. Becky Garner's KINE 4357 Preparation for the Public Health Workforce class, along with Dr. Garner and Dr. Laura Phipps.

Congratulations to Crystal Alvarez, masters student in Exercise Science. Crystal recently received a research award from the International Motor Development Research Consortium. They received several high quality proposals and felt hers best fit the I-MDRC mission.
