Join Us at the Tufts Education Abroad Fair |
The Annual Global Education Fair brings representatives from over 20 Tufts and external programs to the Medford/Somerville campus! In addition, our short-term programs in France (winter) and Italy (summer) will be represented, alongside our Global Research Assistant Program (GRAP) counterparts. Come check it out on Wednesday, September 13, at 11 a.m.–2 p.m. in Alumnae Hall at 40 Talbot Avenue.

Reminder About the Waitlist and Add Deadline |
Reminder: the last day to add a class is September 12 at 11:59 p.m. EDT via SIS.
If you are still on a waitlist, we know you're still hoping to get into the course but want to be sure you are being proactive in determining if you are able to move off a waitlist and have a back-up plan in case that does not happen. Remember that having access to a class Canvas page is not the same as being enrolled. Wait-listed students have access to Canvas, but if you're not enrolled in SIS, you are not enrolled in the class. Students still on the waitlist should speak to their professor about the likelihood of enrollment and pursue a backup plan as needed by the last day to add classes on the 12th. After waitlists are purged, any student not officially enrolled will be dropped.
|
| Welcome to a new academic year!
As the semester begins, check your classes in SIS to confirm your enrollment and that all pre-matriculation/transfer credits are on your transcript. Full-time students must be enrolled in at least 12 credits.
Remember: The last day to ADD a class is Tuesday, September 12.
Waitlisted?
|
- Contact the instructor about your chances of getting into the course.
-
Find a backup class and be prepared to enroll before the ADD Deadline.
- Complete work for waitlist and backup courses. Consult the instructor if adding a class without attending to ensure you can catch up.

Record the Pronunciation of Your Name |
Name Coach is a recording and playback tool that enables students and instructors in a course to voice-record their names so that course members can hear how names are pronounced. You only need to record your name once and the recording will be available for all the classes for which you are enrolled. Name Coach will be available the first day of classes, and instructions for recording your name are simple and can be found online. We are excited to share that we are rolling this out in Canvas this fall.
If you have questions, please reach out to the Canvas team at canvas@tufts.edu.

| Community Day Call for Volunteers |
On Tufts Community Day, we welcome 3,000 of our Medford and Somerville neighbors to campus for fun, food, and activities for kids and families. We are seeking student volunteers to help set up; greet neighbors; and assist with arts and crafts, games, and activities. Volunteers will receive a $15 Amazon gift card, a free t-shirt, and more. The volunteer shift is 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Some paid positions are also available. Paid positions include Jumbo mascot, emcee, caricature/portrait artists, and more.
