Nigel Goldenfeld, the Chancellor’s Distinguished Professor of Physics and affiliated faculty in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UC San Diego, has been elected to be a Fellow of the Royal Society, the United Kingdom’s national academy of sciences.
