Freddie Mac Conventional Loan Program Changes
Freddie Mac recently announced changes to their conventional loan products that affect our Start Up and Step Up conventional loans and the Conventional Cash to Close Grants (CCCG). We will continue to offer Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae conventional loan programs for borrowers with incomes at/below 80% of the area median income (AMI) and borrowers with incomes over 80% AMI.
We will announce our product changes and implementation timeline soon. Watch for an eNews with more details.

Tips for Success: Affidavits

Questions about borrower and property seller affidavits?
  • The Borrower and Property Seller Affidavits are required on all Start Up transactions. They are not required on Step Up transactions.
    • For the Borrower Affidavit, the borrower(s) sign the document.
    • For the Seller Affidavit, the seller(s) sign the document. If a person other than an individual seller is signing (e.g. Trustee, Authorized Signatory, etc.), follow the authorizing documents guidance on the Affidavit.
    • For REO properties, use the Institutional Seller Affidavit version of the form.
  • Both Affidavits need to be signed and notarized at closing, or as close to closing as possible.
