The author of Townie will reflect on a life of challenges, contradictions, and fulfillments. In Ghost Dogs, released this month, DuBus retells his successes, failures, triumphs, and pains.  ThunderFest 2024

in North Adams!

Sun Mar 24, 12–5 p.m.
Held outdoors at the Adams Visitor Center at 3 Hoosac Street, admission is free to a festival full of music, food and fun in celebration of winter in the Berkshires. There will be live music, food and drink, and craft exhibitors, as well as outdoor activities including a toasty campfire with marshmallows at this year's ThunderFest. Leashed pets are welcome, and there will be train rides! More info

Common Ground

Fri Mar 22, 7–9 p.m.
Sobering yet hopeful, Common Ground exposes the interconnectedness of American farming policy, politics, and illness. Follow the solution-driven plight of Regenerative Farmers as they make a case for soil health. This movie will be screened at Lenox Town Hall and is part of BIFF's Environmental Film Series, where people engage together with environmentally based stories, strategies, and actions. More info

Once Upon a Mattress

Monument Mountain Regional High School is going all out for the production of Once Upon a Mattress! The classic musical, which opened off-Broadway in 1959 but eventually moved to Broadway, is an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Princess and the Pea.” The musical is directed by Chris Tucci, a company and faculty member of Tectonic Theatre Project.
