Apart from a specialized career, I have worked both in corporate, retail and as a small business owner. Prior to being a stay at home mama, I worked in the nonprofit sector in community-building in both Arizona and Massachusetts as a Facilitator/Public Speaker on Bullying & Hate Crime Prevention & Character Education. I am ending my 3 year service in the role of President for Carlson of which I’ve also served in the areas of Art Masterpiece facilitator, Junior Achievement facilitator, and chair of several PTO events and bring a Speaker SEries (Free parent education) over the last 7 years. In the greater CUSD community, I’ve also served on The 2016 Math Curriculum Review, Diversity & Inclusion RFP Committee and am a current Inclusion and Equity Council member. Prior to my service on this board, I served as a PTO Vice President and Secretary for 2 charter schools and a 2-time President of a local Moms club chapter.
My education background includes being both a Tempe and Kyrene district student, graduating from Corona Del Sol High School, attending college at Yavapai & Mesa Community colleges in Arizona and finishing at Lesley College in Cambridge, MA with an education degree (BA) Multicultural Issues in Education.
I truly love the friendships I’ve made over the last 8 years living in Chandler and hope to continue serving my Chandler community through service on the CSB.
