From the Office of the Dean |
Good afternoon! I hope this issue of our biweekly newsletter finds you doing as well as possible at a stressful point in the academic calendar. Between advising, the Thanksgiving holiday next week, and the impending end of the semester, it definitely can be challenging to take a few moments to appreciate the beautiful weather we’re having….or even read this email. At the same time, there is so much good that is happening in our College, and on campus, that I hope you’re able to carve a few moments to check them all out. The people of CHDCM are, as always, bringing the heat!
So, even as we recognize the hectic pace of this time of year, I invite you to take a little time to read on, and enjoy the good news and shout outs from the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media! As always, keep your good news and event notes coming, have a great remainder of your week, and we will be back with the next installation of this newsletter after Thanksgiving!

Our real-time show streamed over the 89.5 FM airwaves and on SHU Television’s YouTube channel, where it received over 1,500 views. It featured twenty analysts, who broke down the news on video and radio, and 24 more technical staff who showcased how the new University Center Studio could be used to pioneer media production.
The program was a collaborative effort between 89.5 FM WSOU and SHU TV, directed by WSOU News Director Dovid Holtzman. Jorge Rivera directed technical operations for the entire length of the show, and Graham Marshman led the SHU TV effort. This was the first major joint production between two keystone programs of the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media and sets a path for the great future of media at Seton Hall.
