"Resistance Through Art in Iran: The Current Revolution" With Professor Neda Moridpour (SMFA)
To raise awareness about the current moment in Iran, the Persian Students Association is launching a lecture series to educate the Tufts community about events in Iran, their origins, and their implications for the region and world. On Wednesday, March 15, at 5 p.m. in the Barnum Hall Rabb Room, Neda Moridpour, Professor of the Practice at SMFA, will give the first lecture: "Resistance Through Art in Iran: The Current Revolution." Following the lecture will be a sign-making workshop for protests in Boston.

Boston Metal: the Technology to Decarbonize the Steel Industry
On Thursday, March 16, at 12–1 p.m., join the Chairman and CEO of Boston Metal, Tadeu Carneiro, for a lecture about how the company is developing a breakthrough technology with the potential to eliminate 10% of global carbon emissions. The company's patented molten oxide electrolysis (MOE) platform releases zero carbon emissions during the steel-making process, only oxygen. This is a hybrid event (in person in Curtis Hall Multipurpose Room). This event is part of Tufts Environmental Studies' weekly environmental lectures.

GLADC's Listening and Dialogue with Dinner Event
What are the dialogue skills needed for polarizing conversations? How can restorative justice support our shared community life? This Listening and Dialogue with Dinner (LADD) event, hosted by the Tufts Generous Listening and Dialogue Center (GLADC), seeks to help us reflect on these questions while practicing our generous listening and dialogue skills. The event is student-centered and will feature a community dinner. The event is on Monday, March 27, beginning at 5:30 p.m in Breed Memorial Hall.

Spring Break Food Drive
To ensure all undergraduates staying at Tufts have access to food over spring break, the Tufts Community Union (TCU) Senate Food Security Subcommittee is hosting a Spring Break Food Drive. This is meant to supplement resources provided by the university. Through Friday, March 17, drop off nonperishable packaged food items in the TCU Senate-labeled boxes at the following locations:
- Upper- and lower-level Campus Center
- Science and Engineering Complex
- Joyce Cummings Center
- Tisch Library
- The Fletcher School (near Ginn Library)
- Olin Center first floor
- Barnum Hall

Dowling Hall Garage Construction to Start March 17
Dowling Hall garage construction starts March 17. Floors one through three and the Boston Avenue entrance will be closed. Please remove all cars before Friday, March 17, at 12 noon. If you are leaving your car parked during spring break, please park on the upper levels. A valid permit is still required to park.

Plan ahead! The Advising Period begins on March 27. Make sure to reach out to your advisor early to book an appointment for the advising period to discuss your fall 2023 courses and lift your registration hold.

Time to Apply for 2023–2024 Financial Aid
It's time to submit your 2023–2024 financial aid documents. The deadline is April 18.
Log in to SIS to view your personalized list of required financial aid documents and see what Tufts already received. You can access this list by clicking the Awards and Documents link on the Financial Aid tab.
Please note: additional required documents may be added after you submit your initial application. Please check SIS periodically to see if additional documents are requested.
U.S. citizens and permanent residents: To be considered for federal loans only, submit the FAFSA and complete the request form in SIS (in the Financial Aid portal, select "Federal Aid Only Request" from the menu) to notify our office that you will not apply for Tufts grant aid.
