Looking back at this summer and looking forward to the fall!
Friends,
As we head back to school and kick off a new year of ministry, I wanted to tell you how encouraged we are feeling as we head into this next season!  While things definitely feel and look a LOT different than a normal fall kickoff, we have seen the Lord show up in so many ways, and we are getting as creative as we can so that we can continue our mission to "introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith."
Thank you for being part of what God is doing!

A Summer to Remember

With all of the normal summer activities canceled, kids were craving some fun and interaction. Many of them were also struggling with a lot of hard questions about God, the events going on in the culture around us, and how all of that fits together.  Through campaigner (small) groups and one-on-one conversations, Young Life leaders and staff were able to lean into these moments and share the hope of the Gospel, as well as provide elements of adventure, fun and community during an otherwise disappointing season.
Summer camp was unfortunately put on pause for most schools, but a couple of week ago, our Capernaum friends enjoyed a super fun 3-day camp on Zoom with their leaders. They got to dress up, play games, laugh together, and talk about Jesus. It was a sweet way to wrap up the summer!
A New Normal (for Now)

We look forward to the day when we will be able to have "Mega Club" (a multi-school event we have twice a semester) but until then, we are adjusting to a new normal!

The YL College team has hosted an Ice Cream Sandwich event, a scavenger hunt and handed out coffee drinks on campus to connect with students. There are almost 100 college students who have signed up to be in small groups.
Our high school ministries kicked off the year with a popsicle drive-thru event, a hang out at Wilson Park, and a trip to Waffle House! We are taking precautions to keep groups small enough that we can maintain safety for everyone, but the staff and leaders love being able to be with our friends again!
Again, thank you for your support of this ministry. I am praying for health and prosperity for your family during this season.
God's Best,
