Winter Weather Conditions & University Resources |
|
|
Dear WashU Employees,
The safety of all members of our community is a top priority. When winter weather occurs, please stay safe, take precautions and be prepared. Resources and support are in place to help employees and managers through the impact of winter weather.

-
For the most up-to-date information about weather and WashU Campuses, visit emergency.washu.edu. You can follow the Emergency Management team on Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram for ongoing weather and preparedness information.
-
The emergency conditions policy outlines protocols to address operational and employee needs. Departments should refer to their unit plans and processes to ensure onsite operations are carried out while balancing the need for alternative work schedules or locations and flexibility, as appropriate.
- Staff scheduled to work during winter weather should talk with their manager regarding work arrangements and operations.
-
Danforth faculty members should consult with their school leadership before changing work arrangements. The Office of the Provost will decide on alternate operations on the Danforth Campus, ensuring no instructional time is lost as part of WashU’s accreditation. Find tips for remote learning on the Center for Teaching and Learning website.

We encourage all employees to plan accordingly. Get prepared now by:
