Diocesan resources for parishes and parishioners during coronavirus era
Dioceses and parishes around the world are now challenged with ways to stay connected to the faithful during the coronavirus pandemic. Imagine this situation even as recently as thirty years ago. The digital age and the technology we sometimes detest have provided resources that can build powerful links to stay connected to those that we serve. Since Monday, the Diocese of Knoxville's website has received 20,550 visits compared to roughly 4,500 during a typical work week. The value of your parish website and other forms of parish communication, both electronic and printed, will be vital during this highly unusual time. We are striving to keep dioknox.org relevant by providing updated practical information and spiritual materials for you and your parishioners. We will continue to update the website as we move deeper into this unique (and we pray brief) time in our history.
Website streaming of Masses
If you haven't already done so, please consider emailing the diocesan communications department if your parish is streaming any of your Masses to the internet. We would like to include your parish on our list.
Call to Love conference postponed
Due to CDC recommendations, the second annual Call to Love marriage enrichment conference is postponed. Once all the details are resolved, rescheduling information will be shared with you. It will not be earlier than May 9. Thank you for your patience and prayers as the Office of Marriage Preparation and Enrichment navigates this disruption. Be sure to take steps to protect yourself and others.
