A Note from PTO President,
Rachel Olson

As I close out the final weeks of serving as your PTO President over the past two years, I am truly filled with gratitude and awe at our WB community. Admittedly, I had no idea what I was stepping into with this role, only that I had amazing leaders who laid the foundation before me. Over the past two years it has felt like we have all grown together and truly come together as the exceptional and unique community that is WB. I want to thank each and every volunteer that pitched in over this year and last. It truly takes a village as they say; whether you served on the Board, as a room parent, did a shift during field day or served pizza at one of our events, whether you brought food for stock the lounge or donated so we could fund those events for our teachers - every single bit helps.
I want to sincerely thank everyone for the incredibly thoughtful messages, donations and gestures of recognition. I have genuinely loved serving in this role; the WB community means a tremendous amount to me, I have been so blown away by the gratitude I have received, please know it means the world to me! As most of you know, I am not going anywhere :-). My youngest will start Kindergarten in 2025, but I will be ending my term as President and am thrilled to turn over the Executive Board to a wonderful group of parents led by Mike Booker. I know there’s only great things to come!

Thank you to Everyone Who Lent a Helping Hand this Year!

Thank you to each and every person who volunteered their time over this past school year. Our PTO could not accomplish all that it does without the willingness of parents to get involved. And we accomplished SO MUCH this year! Here’s a some highlights:
- We raised a record $91,576 (INSERT EXACT) at the Bolt (woohoo!) and over $8,000 at our Spring parent/teacher social/fundraiser! This is in addition to the many gifts, treats, wish list items, and stock the lounges that happened throughout the year.
- We were able to fund the .5 Counseling position and also funded a scholarship for each club this year.
- We purchased and had installed the basketball goals on our new courts for our school and community to enjoy.
- We had security film installed on much of the building’s windows which also added some colorful school spirit!
- We supported many school events such as STEAM night and READ ME week.
- We held our inaugural Rock the House event where we had an incredible parent band backing some awesome staff talent on stage!
- We had a wonderful teacher appreciation week for our staff and ran programs such as the Backpack program, Holiday Helpers and Watch Dogs which support students and our school community.
It was a busy year! Thank you again for being a part of this special community.

Thank you to all the parents who came out to help during Field Day on Monday! We are so appreciative so many were flexible with the date change and could jump in and help. It was one to remember with the heat and cicadas but it was awesome! HUGE THANK YOU to Coach Cotton and Coach Dison for thoughtfully planning an incredible day for our students!

NEW THIS YEAR: Honorary Service Award
| |
This year we are creating a PTO Honorary Service Award and have awarded our first recipient to the award, Erin Gilmore!
The Honorary Service Award is an award that will be given to an individual each year to recognize their outstanding service to WB and to the PTO. There will be a plaque at WB honoring Erin with this first Honorary Service Award and the intention is to add each recipient's name to the plaque as individuals are named and honored annually.
This is Erin’s last year at WB as her 5th grader is graduating! Erin has served in so many roles it would be impossible to count but some of them include PTO President, Spirit Wear Chair, Teacher Appreciation, Belmont the Bulldog and many many others. Erin has always been willing to go above and beyond and jumps in wherever and whenever help is needed. From driving around delivering yard signs and t-shirts, to handing out pizza at events to making sure every single child has a Bulldog Bolt t-shirt in the correct size no less. Erin, thank you for your incredible and unwavering service to our WB community and school. We are grateful to you and appreciate everything you have done!
