Top 3

1. Baptism and Communion and Thanksgiving
Join us live online or on campus this Sunday as we celebrate the baptism of a new believer and receive communion together.
Communion will be self-contained on campus, and if you’re joining us online, have some crackers or bread handy along with some water or juice.
Since Thanksgiving is next week, I want you to be thinking of multiple ways you can express gratitude to God even with all we’ve walked through this year.

2. Deermeadows, 2021, and $$$
The Vote:
Last Sunday, Deermeadows affirmed the 2021 Financial Ministry Plan (church budget). It represents a modest 2% increase. Keep in mind the budget was cut a full 10% from 2019 to 2020.
The Ask:
Deermeadows recognizes the economic uncertainty many households are facing. Therefore, the big ask this year is for each of us to commit with a pledge to give something to the financial health of the church on a regular basis throughout the next year.
The Help:
Several of you have told us pledging an amount is very helpful for you. We welcome that. In fact, it’s helpful for the decisions we make.
Now:
Will you CLICK HERE to pledge your commitment to give something regularly or a specific amount for the upcoming year? Thank you!
3. On-Campus Attendance
Recently we’ve experienced some spikes in on-campus worship attendance. We’re glad you’re here and desire to help Sundays be a meaningful, safe experience. To that end, we’re beginning to host an option in Founder’s Hall to accommodate more people.
What’s happening in the sanctuary is being streamed in, and a leader will be there to guide us in the music and in prayer.
Thanks to the many of you who are volunteering to begin worship there so others, especially guests, can worship in the sanctuary.

Stay Strong & Keep the Faith,
Larry

Turkey!

During the December Food Distribution Drive-thru event we will be distributing turkeys to families in need. You can help!
Now through Nov. 25th Winn Dixie has turkeys for $.45/lb (limit 2 per family)! If you'd like to help contribute to the turkey supply, please purchase a frozen turkey and bring it to the church where we will keep it frozen until needed on December 19th.
For more information please contact Len Sak.
Reaching out to help at Christmas
Do you know someone who could use a little help with Christmas during these economically challenging times? Perhaps your own family is struggling right now.
Through the Deermeadows Angel Tree ministry, the church community works to bless others with groceries for the family and/or Christmas gifts for children.
All inquiries are kept confidential.

Volunteers Needed Monday!

We're in need of volunteers on Monday, Nov. 23rd from 8-11am, to load over 100 large, heavy cartons packed with OCC shoeboxes onto the truck for transport. Please email Bill King @ rusty10370@aol.com if you're available to help!
Packing Party!
Once again, the Walter Bible Study Class shared fun, fellowship, and "packing skills" to pack 209 Operation Christmas Child boxes with a variety of donated toys, personal hygiene items, school supplies, caps, socks, t-shirts, soccer balls and pumps, and even a class photo with well wishes destined for excited, joyfully expectant children all across the globe. Tom Dedricks, Missions Coordinator for the class, had been storing the class's donations over the past several months, and true to the "fishes and loaves" story in the Bible, there were more donations than ever!
