Megg Doolin was nominated for the Chancellor’s Exempt Staff Award at this year's IMPACT Awards. Staff nominated for this awards meet the criteria of providing excellent service to staff, faculty, students, alumni or visitors, enhancing the quality of life for students, employees or visitors, developing new programs and services or making significant improvement to existing programs or services, and advancing the reputation of the UT Health Science Center internally, locally, regionally, nationally, and/or internationally.
CHIPS Accomplishments:
Katie Porcaro, CHIPS Simulation Educationalist, just completed her MBA from UT Martin.
Tim Dotson and Jamie Pitt had their work published in the chapter “Creative Development Opportunities for Older Adult Simulated Participants” in a book titled “Comprehensive Healthcare Simulation: Geriatric Simulation.” This chapter explores ways that Simulation educators can engage creatively and meaningfully with older adult simulated patients beyond training for individual scenarios, build on their current skills, and further advance and support their skill development. It fills a gap in training for those who care for older adults, that Simulated Participants (SPs) can help to address.
