From the Office of the Dean |

Hello everyone, and happy Monday!
Despite our gloomy start to the day, I hope that this edition of our newsletter finds you doing well, and that the second half of the semester has started off smoothly to this point!
Since our last newsletter, our One College, One Exhibition initiative launched—and I just want to say *WOW*! Thanks to all of you who attended our opening reception and choir’s performance of “Truth to Tell”—it was a fantastic showing by the CHDCM community, and I was really energized by the evening….as well as the two subsequent OCOE events, showcasing CHDCM students and alums. But we’re not done! Tomorrow we’re welcoming our Center for Sports Media’s Professional-in-Residence, NBC Sports’ Amy Rosenfeld, to talk about the Olympics and American truth-telling—click here to RSVP for what promises to be a fantastic conversation! You can also check the OCOE website for the other events coming up next week, as we bring our monthlong series of events, showcases, and speakers to a close. Oh! And if you missed out on the 2nd CHDCM laptop sticker from our OCOE launch, know that we’ll be handing more out at our events on 10/21 and 10/28.
I’m also excited to say that our 3rd CHDCM laptop sticker will arrive just in time for Halloween—read on for details on how to get yours via our new Office of Student Success (located in A&S 202), and move closer to winning the Dean’s Laptop Sticker Challenge!
These are just a few of the many, many things going on in our College right now, so I invite you to read on, and enjoy learning more about the talented people and amazing programs of our CHDCM community. As always, keep your own good news and event notes coming, and I wish you all a fantastic week—enjoy these crisp Fall days, and Go Pirates!
