Here's your news for June from on and off campus.Triumphs and talents and Carls, oh my! As the academic year draws to a close, reasons for celebration come faster and faster. On campus, the 20th annual Empty Bowls event raised funds for Rice County's Community Action Center, hundreds of students were celebrated at last week's Honors Convocation, and history professor Rebecca Brückmann has been appointed as an Academic Leadership Fellow by the Associated Colleges of the Midwest. Out in the world, the new memoir by Jonathan Capehart ’89 is on The New York Times' bestseller list, Claire Kelloway ’16 has been nominated for a James Beard award, and Pamela Bacon ’93 is Luther College's new provost.
