SourceLink Affiliate Quarterly Conversation – September 2023

Last month, we had our third quarterly conversation of the year with our SourceLink affiliates. We welcomed new affiliates, celebrated a launch and the wrapping of the 2023 National League of Cities City Inclusive Entrepreneurship (CIE) cohort. The second half of the gathering, we heard from some friends at the Edward Lowe Foundation and the Louisiana Economic Development (LED) on supporting second stage businesses. Economic Development Administration Announces Regional Technology and Innovation Hubs |
The EDA recently announced the designation of 31 Tech Hubs in regions across the country. This is the first phase of the new Tech Hubs program, an initiative designed to drive regional innovation and job creation by strengthening a region’s capacity to manufacture, commercialize, and deploy technology that will advance American competitiveness. Welcome Amy O’Connor and Monica Rayford to the SourceLink Team!
| We’ve expanded our SourceLink team and are excited to welcome Amy O’Connor and Monica Rayford. Amy joins SourceLink as our Business Support Specialist, and Monica has joined as our student Research Analyst.
Amy joined the SourceLink team from the University of Missouri Kansas City’s administrative division and will be assuming duties related to business operations and financial reporting. Monica is currently pursuing her MBA at UMKC with a focus in Business and Data analytics. In her role with SourceLink, she will build on pioneering SourceLink research and analysis related to job creation and capital investment on a local, regional, and statewide basis.
