June 3, 2024 - Graduation Intent for Summer graduation opens in YES
July 12, 2024 - Last day to submit Graduation Intent for Summer graduation in YES
July 16, 2024 - Deadline to submit theses and dissertations for Summer graduation (*A final defense or submission of thesis/dissertation to the Graduate School beyond this date will result in graduation the next semester)
*August 9, 2024 - Summer semester ends/Commencement. Please note: The Graduate School only hosts one Commencement ceremony in May of each year.*

Merck Chemistry Employer Info Session

In partnership with the VU Chemistry Graduate Program and the BRET Office of Career Development ASPIRE Program, Merck will be hosting a Vanderbilt-specific virtual employer infosession about Chemistry and Chemistry-related open positions for current graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Join them Thursday, May 16, at 1 p.m.

ASPIRE Annual Career Symposium

Join BRET Friday, May 31, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Student Life Center for their annual career symposium to explore the many paths a biomedical science Ph.D. can take. Register today!

Vanderbilt-Fisk Postdoctoral Fellowship

Applications are now open for the Vanderbilt-Fisk Postdoctoral Fellowship program. This fellowship helps Vanderbilt PhDs build their teaching and scholarship portfolios, with dedicated mentoring from faculty at both institutions. Deadline to apply is Friday, May 24. The selected fellows will be announced June 10.

The Institute for the Advancement of Higher Education will be holding this year’s Teaching Assistant Orientation in person on Wednesday, August 14, from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Featheringill - Jacobs Hall. Stay tuned for more information.
