FROM THE PARENT PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Happy New Year! Our first week back on campus was capped off by a beautiful snowfall here in Nashville. The students had “snow” much fun! I hope you had a wonderful and restful break spending precious time with your student, and that they returned to campus refreshed and ready for another exciting semester. Lipscomb has a full lineup of events planned for students and families this spring, and we look forward to seeing you on campus soon. Be sure to mark your calendars for Singarama, the first weekend of April—it’s an event you won’t want to miss!

This month's guest speaker will be Deron Smith who is the director of the accelerated pastoral leadership program at Lipscomb University.

FINANCIAL AID

Complete your 25-26 FAFSA now! This will ensure your aid package for the fall is completed as early as possible. Remember that some need based aid awards have early filing deadlines! Tennessee residents: you cannot receive the TN HOPE Scholarship for 25-26 without filing the FAFSA. Click here for FAFSA info.

GRADUATION OFFICE

Save the Date! Spring Graduation is scheduled for May 3. Times and instructions will be updated on the website by the end of the month.

If your student is completing degree requirements this spring semester, please remind them to file an Intent to Graduate form no later than Jan. 31. Students can access the form from their student portal. This form needs to be filed with our office in order for us to confer their degree, regardless of if they chose to participate in graduation.

Regalia for any student participating in the May graduation ceremony has to be ordered by Jan. 31. Please encourage your student to file the Intent to Graduate form and order regalia ASAP. Students can direct any questions to graduation@lipscomb.edu.

Lipscomb Security is providing several training opportunities for students. Students can sign up here for free courses.

SPIRITUAL FORMATION

The Office of Spiritual Formation is pleased to announce that the Gathering theme for the Spring semester is "God is...." We are looking forward to exploring names, characteristics and attributes given to God across Scripture. Tickets now on sale for Singarama 2025 in April

Step into the world of cinema on April 3-5 with "Singarama: Movie Premiere," an exciting show that weaves together the magic of movies and the power of live performance. This year’s production will use songs from your favorite movie soundtracks with original theatrical storytelling, creating an immersive experience that spans across multiple genres.

For the first time in Singarama history, each individual show will create and premiere an original, short film as part of their performance as they take you on a journey of different cinematic styles, using all aspects of a movie genre.

Parent Dinner: On April 5, the Office of Parent Engagement is hosting a parent dinner. We hope you and your family plan on attending. Mark your calendar! Registration for the dinner opens in February.
