Broadway, film, and TV star Brian Stokes Mitchell will perform at this year's much-anticipated Mahaiwe Gala. Some show-only tickets and gala dinner packages are still available. Mitchell was featured in the July issue of Berkshire Magazine's "10 Minutes With..." He said about his upcoming show: "It's going to be joyful and fun. I have a very eclectic taste, so there will be musical theater songs, standards, and jazz tunes. I've been really happy about the way that people have responded to the show over the past few years. It's been a joy for me to present." More info

Opening Sat July 15
Humane Ecology: Eight Positions opens at the Clark on Saturday. It features eight artists who explore the inseparability of nature and society. Each represents a distinct approach and place, or position, but all think in ecological terms—i.e., about the complex relationships between living things and their environments. They challenge ideas of “nature” as something separate from humans. They also center humans who have often been marginalized in discussions of the environment.
