Dear Families,
As the coronavirus continues to spread across parts of the world, we wanted to share with you some of the steps we've taken at our school to help prevent the spread of the virus. While we always pride ourselves on the cleanliness and safety of our schools, we have enforced additional safety precautions and measures, including more frequent cleaning of the facility and equipment. Additionally, we use chlorine in our pools as a disinfectant to provide the safest swimming environment.
As the Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) emphasized, there is currently not a coronavirus pandemic in the United States. The number of cases across the U.S. is small, however, given how quickly the global situation is evolving, we are constantly monitoring new developments and will continue to reevaluate our steps and actions accordingly.
Because the safety and wellbeing of all our students, guests, and team members are our top priority, we recommend following the precautionary measures and guidelines recommended by the CDC to help keep your family healthy and prevent the spread of the virus:
- Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based sanitizer.
- Keep your children away from others who are sick.
- Please keep your children home if they are ill.
- Teach children to cough and sneeze into their arm or elbow, not their hands.
- Clean and disinfect household objects and surfaces in your home.
- Avoid travel to destinations where the outbreak is prevalent or known.
If you have symptoms or you or your child are feeling ill, it is recommended you contact your doctor. You many need to be tested and told to stay home for up to 14 days to prevent the spread of the virus, even though you may not show immediate symptoms. In this case, we kindly ask that you refrain from attending lessons; please contact us and make up credits will be issued to your account.
We encourage everyone to stay up to date about this information - See the resources below for the latest developments from the CDC.
Because this is a fast-moving and ever-changing situation, we will be diligent in following official recommendations by the CDC and/or local/state authorities. Please stay tuned for further information from our team on this matter as the situation warrants.
Swimcerely,
Larisa and Jeffrey Posner
