Tax statements, including 1099-Rs, will be mailed to retirees no later than January 31, 2024, unless you've signed up to receive your 1099-R digitally. For digital 1099-R recipients, you will receive an email before January 31st, notifying that your 1099-R is available within your myASRS account.
If you haven't already, you can now log into your myASRS account and sign up to begin receiving your 1099-R electronically. This is the quickest way to receive your tax forms.
To receive your 1099-R digitally:
1. Log into your secure myASRS account
2. On the left-hand navigation panel, click “1099-R Statements"
3. Click “I want to receive my 1099-R electronically"
4. Consent to the change by clicking “I consent."
5. From the left-hand navigation panel, select Home Page to return to the Home page or Logout to close your session.
If you want to keep receiving your 1099-R in the mail, no action is needed. Signing up to receive your 1099-R digitally is completely optional. Changes must be made by December 31, 2023, to receive your 2023 1099-R tax statement electronically, so login now!
