Dear parents and families,
It was wonderful to welcome more than 1,800 of you for Parent & Family Weekend. One of my weekend highlights was speaking to so many of you at my reception on Friday!
Looking forward, tomorrow all registered St. Louis voters can cast their ballots on our campuses between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM CT. Encourage your student to make a voting plan at Vote.WashU.edu and consider attending our Party at the Polls. Following the election, Dialogue Across Difference is hosting a Dessert and Dialogue on post-election impacts November 7 at Noon CT. This dialogue space is intended to bring students together to discuss, listen, be heard, and move forward together.
Beginning November 8, students will register for spring 2025 courses. As your student finalizes their course selections, I encourage them to consider a one-credit, eight week Dialogue Across Difference course. These courses teach students how to engage with, and understand, diverse viewpoints.
As we head into the last part of fall semester classes, we know many of our students are thinking about their summer plans. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to spend some time exploring the Center for Career Engagement website.
Finally, in preparation for the upcoming finals week, we understand that many students may feel increased stress at this time of year. Please encourage your students to sign up for our 24/7 virtual wellbeing service staffed by credentialed professionals, TimelyCare. For students who would prefer free, brief, same-day we also offer "Let's Talk."
Warmly,
Anna "Dr. G" Gonzalez
Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs

What's Happening on Campus |

| Mail & Receiving Services
|
Mail & Receiving Services is aware of Amazon delivery issues on the South 40. Packages are being left in residence hall lobbies due to students letting drivers into restricted areas and a change in Amazon delivery companies. Help your student by reminding them of some key points to remember that will help them receive their packages properly.
