Violinist Alex Shiozaki, cellist Robert Burkhardt, and pianist Nana Shi join forces to perform Maurice Ravel’s lush yet playful Piano Trio, in commemoration of his 150th birthday. The program also includes the piano trio of Fanny Mendelssohn, an oft-overlooked yet inarguably talented composer whose gifts were recognized by her peers, including her more famous brother Felix.
