UNF announces two major gifts to benefit Hodges Stadium |
The University of North Florida announced a generous $8 million gift from the Estate of Kernan R. Hodges in support of Hodges Stadium. The gift will be used to renovate and upgrade the stadium, home to the UNF soccer and track and field teams.

North Florida Athletics and North Florida Baseball have announced the completion of Phase I of its comprehensive renovation plan of Harmon Stadium.

The University of North Florida Coggin College of Business MBA and GlobalMBA programs have been ranked Tier One among global business schools by CEO Magazine in the 2026 MBA Rankings.

Robert Hirner ’23 |
UNF alum Robert Hirner ’23, a mechanical engineering graduate, played a key role in NASA’s Artemis II mission, a historic crewed journey around the moon that successfully launched from Kennedy Space Center. His path to NASA began at UNF after serving in the U.S. Air Force, leading to a competitive Pathways Internship and a full‑time role supporting spacecraft recovery operations. During Artemis II, Hirner helped oversee post‑splashdown efforts as the capsule and astronauts safely returned to Earth.

Join us for a night of UNF pride as the Sharks face off against the New Mexico Chupacabras. Start the fun early at 5 p.m. with the UNF Alumni and Friends Pregame Meetup at THAT BAR AT THE ARENA. Enjoy food, fun and quality time with fellow Ospreys before heading over to the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena for the football game.
It's also Education Appreciation Night, with special ticket pricing for teachers and education professionals.
