Support the Winter Wonder Fund for Students with ChildrenThe past couple of years have been particularly difficult for students with children, many of whom have grappled with a lack of childcare and resources and are now struggling to make ends meet during the holiday season. You can help by donating to the Winter Wonder Fund, a program operated by the Resource Center for Students with Children. Funds are distributed to student-parents based on family size and provide critical assistance to students in need. Please visit the RCSC Foundation page and donate by December 3. Learn more about PSU’s student-parent resources in this blog post.

I hope you found the opportunity for rest and restoration over the holiday as we prepare for these final weeks of fall term. While I'm still deleting the pile of Black Friday hype emails I received after Thanksgiving, I am having fun searching for the perfect gifts for my loved ones. One of my favorite family traditions is giving the gift of books. In case you agree that there is no better gift than the gift of a book, or are just hunting for some reading for yourself, I want to share two terrific resources I love. NPR's searchable database Books We Love offers 2800 curated books on two dozen specific topics, helping you find the right reading for any person in your life. And Five Books provides interviews with leading experts in hundreds of areas who recommend the "five books" they feel are most essential to understanding their topic. Happy hunting!
